Recently, from the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Shandong Marine Biology Functional Molecule Application Laboratory, relying on Shandong International Biotechnology Park Development Co., Ltd., has been named among the 2014 Shandong Engineering Laboratory (Engineering Research Center) Identified by Shandong Province Development and Reform Commission” list.

Shandong Marine Biology Functional Molecule Application Laboratory is based on the substantive cooperation between Shandong International Biotechnology Park, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Institute of Coastal Zone Research CAS, Yantai Wanli Medical Equipment Co., Ltd.,. The lab meets the national strategic needs, strives to achieve breakthroughs in key technologies in medical grade and pharmaceutical grade marine functional protein, marine functional carbohydrate molecules, marine medicine, marine biology medical materials, aquaculture disease prevention and control and high-value marine functional foods of new products. Finally, the lab will promote industrial restructuring of marine biological field.
